Whether she likes it or not, this piece 'o sexiness will bring the all the boys to the yard. Trust. Soft pink ostrich feathers with the center bling....
Look...This is my own journey...I'm just posting ideas and such...This is a place to exchange ideas, offer suggestions, etc. I don't claim to have the answers to everything...ALL HAIR IS DIFFERENT!!! What works for you...may not work for me...and vice versa...Be realistic with your expecations...Research...Anything I like or hate is based on my hair and experience...Thank you :)
I went natural in 2002.
When I moved to Tennessee, I had hair to the middle of my back. I had already learned very good hair care, but as SOON as I moved to Nashville, my hair started breaking like crazy! I had a girl friend who asked me one day…”Why do you relax your hair…I don’t get it…” I honestly didn’t have a good answer for her…I was like “I don’t know…I’ve been doing it for years…” So that began my transition. I stopped relaxing my hair and a year (almost to the day) later, the relaxer was gone! I chopped it all off with the help of my mother!!!
Sites that helped me on my journey. This is by no means a complete list, it's just the ones I've frequented the most over the years...
Motown Girl She's a goddess! Great reviews of products, easy to understand instructions...She's a Diva!
Nappturality Dee, the founder of the site, is an INCREDIBLE woman! Her site is full of beautiful, natural Divas! Be warned, the site does not promote or tolerate straightening. PERIOD! This is the ONLY site that I went through during the first few years of my journey! Great site for hair care. The ladies there are great for helping you through the "hard times" of transitioning.
Nappturlogy 101 I was on Nappturality when this Diva was there. Let me tell you, she has taken the napps to school...Very great site! She breaks down a lot about hair and the scientology (if you will), of the Napps!
Long Hair Care Forum A site devoted to growing hair long. The site is "eh" to me...I've never been obsessed with long hair, but some folks are...so here you go...I've found some wacked out folks on there with delusions of grandeur about their hair...so be careful about the advice, lol!!!
10 ingredients to avoid!!! Yes lovelies...check this site out then check out the ingredients in your products...It's not hype...Once I stopped using one of the main offenders (Petrolatum....umm...HAIR GREASE) my hair stopped being dried out, ends stopped splitting, and it grew like a weed...Soo...Step away from the hurr grease....and repeat after me..."Grease is for frying Chicken...not for hair..."
